Does this person live or work in Los Osos? : Yes

Why do you feel this person deserves to be honored? : Since returning to Los Osos from Ukraine in early 2019 with her family (her husband was a military attache at the embassy), Shannon has been the most active member of the community I can imagine.

A few things: helping start an energy savings/solar program for the community (which is now going to be running our electric here.) Kept the Boy Scouts troop running for 3 years after everyone else gave up. She is an amazing ceramics artist who does what she can to support others. She is often acting as a single mother to her kids, as her husband Brian is a Colonel in the CA NG. He spent 14 months in Iraq and Syria recently, returning in April. Before that he was commandant of Camp SLO.

She is incredibly active in the schools her kids attend, to the point I sometimes felt like I was not doing enough. She goes from morning to night rarely if ever saying no to anyone.
